hi all, i am planning a 2 day getaway to Chicago (27 %26amp; 28 of this month) and planning to stay in Lisle (arriving 26th evening) accompanied by spouse and a 2 yr old.
Is this possible for me to cover in a 2 days.
1. Boat Ride (mercury may be ..90 minute)
2. Alder Planetarium %26amp; Shedd Aquarium
3. Water Tower
4. Sears Tower or John Hancock Center
5. Navy Pier
6. Millenium Park
7. Magnificient Mile
If you think its too much which one you suggest to knock off ?? or if its too less :) which one you suggest to add

Unless you plan on running through them, the Planetarium and the Shedd could take atleast a half day easy. Same with Water Tower. You could probably do Sears Tower OR Hancock. If you decide to do Water Tower then I%26#39;d do Hancock since you%26#39;ll be right there. I would definitely knock atleast 2 things off your list, also are you planning to eat at any time?
2 days in Chicago
Keep in mind to allow commuting time between Lisle and downtown. If you%26#39;re driving, it%26#39;s at least an hour each way, depending on the time of day and traffic.
Start at the Shedd, then walk to the Adler. On the way, you%26#39;ll see the boat to Navy Pier. (www.shorelinesightseeing.com) Take that up to the Pier and spend the rest of the day. The short boat ride may enough with a two year old. I wouldn%26#39;t take a child that age on a long sightseeing boat tour because there%26#39;s no place to go if he or she acts up.
On the next day, start at either Buckingham Fountain (Congress and Columbus) and work your way north , through Millennium Park and up the Mag Mile, or start at the Hancock and work your way south. You can have lunch or dinner at the 95th restaurant near the top of the Hancock instead of going to the observation deck. Water Tower Place and the old Water Tower are a couple of blocks from the Hancock. Stop at the Tribune Tower (just north of the river) to see the fragments of old buildings embedded in the walls.
excellent information ...
my plan is to use the train from lisle to downtown (using metra) as driving and parking could be pain
