Any Chicagoans have info on Lake Geneva: The Lodge@Geneva

Hi -

Since it%26#39;s unlikely that the Forum at Lake Geneva will even see this, I am trying an alternate route. Specifically - we have been invited to a wedding and the reception is being held at The Lodge at Geneva Ridge - formerly The InterLaken. I understand that it%26#39;s been closed for renovations and will open again in June - just before we arrive. Consequently - there is not much info to go on through the typical TripAdvisor reviews. Anyone have the inside scoop as to what to expect? The reviews I saw for the InterLaken were questionable at best.

The Interlaken was one of the main places I went for family vacations as a kid (15-20 years ago probably, at this point?) and the hotel really was pretty nice at the time. Pleasant pool area, decent rooms, nice restaurant. Pretty grounds. It wasn%26#39;t a 4* or anything, but was fine enough. However, the reviews seem to indicate that it%26#39;s really slipped in recent years, so I%26#39;m glad they renovated. I may go up there again to see what it%26#39;s turned into. Keep in mind that it is outside (not in walking distance) of downtown Lake Geneva.
