Dave 148 mentioned the ones that spring to my mind. Chicago%26#39;s on a fresh water lake, but not that hot a place for seafood really. You tend to get just as good seafood dishes in normal restaurants in my opinion.
Shaw%26#39;s Crab House is great. It is a favorite restaurant of mine.
I love crab cakes. And have had them from Baltimore to Miami to San Francisco. And Shaws are as good or better then any.
I had a pretty nice dinner not too long ago at McCormick %26amp; Schmick%26#39;s, on Wacker at State (1 E Wacker).
I have had a good meal here too within the last year or so. Pretty reasonable, too.
M%26amp;S, that is......
as other%26#39;s said, Chicago isn%26#39;t known for it%26#39;s seafood. Davis Street Fishmarket in Evanston used to be good for fish....I haven%26#39;t been in years and I think the chef left to start his own place called Glen%26#39;s Diner in the Ravenswood neighborhood. I%26#39;m not sure I%26#39;d recommend shellfish at these places...maybe other%26#39;s have more current info.
The Half Shell is a real dive of a restaurant, but I hear they have very good shellfish at a very low price...I%26#39;ve never been. Service is also lacking...but if you%26#39;re just looking for food.

Thank you all for taking the trouble to reply very helpful.
I have done some research and decided to try Joes Seafood Restaurant.
