Girlfriend getaway the last week in September

Gals on the London Eye suggested an architectural cruise... Interesting.... any other suggestions. Especially a hotel that would put us in close proximity to good restaurants as well as theater and entertainment. Thanks for your help.....

If you give us your specific dates and hotel budget, the hotel gurus on this form will be happy to help.

In the meantime, take a look at:

Just entertained four English girlfriends for the long weekend and had a great time.

Friday - shopping on Michigan Avenue, (lunch at the Chicago Cheesecake Factory).

Saturday, BBG at friends house.

Sunday - walked up and down Navy Pier, plus went on the Ferris Wheel and into the hall of mirrors place. Mid-afternoon went up to Lincoln Park Zoo (free, via free trolley) and walked around for a few more hours. The animals were all on top form!

Monday - Walked around Millenium Park, down to Buckingham fountain, had lunch outside, then browsed around bookstores.

The weather late September should still be great. There are also beaches nearby - Oak Street beach, and North Avenue beach. They won%26#39;t be officially ';open'; ie. no life guards and bars, but you can still go on them. If it rains, there are tons of museums, as well as Water Tower Place, which is indoor shopping.

Loads to do.

PS. If you eat at the Cheesecake Factory, the portions are enormous. They advertise a ';linch time'; size portion on many of the options, but this is still far too big for one human to finish. Consider splitting something.

If you%26#39;re looking for something girlie to do... try 1154 Lill in Lincoln Park... it%26#39;s on armitage (which is this really cute little boutique area). We loved it so much when we went there for a mom %26amp; daughters weekend that we are going back for a bachelorette party in a couple of weeks! (We planned the party around going to Lill).

Lill is this amazing design your own purse place... check out their website, 1154lill.com
