Chicago Food Planet tour?
While I%26#39;m in Chicago, I definitely want to explore some of the ethnic neighborhoods (and sample some of their native foods). I%26#39;ve heard of Evelyn Thompson (Ethnic Grocery tours), and I%26#39;m trying to arrange a tour with her, but should that not work out (and something doesn%26#39;t seem right - I dialed the phone number on her web site and there isn%26#39;t even a message indicating that this is the correct number ), I%26#39;m looking into other options. Of course, I only want to make arrangements through reputable companies........Is this company well known?
Thanks!
Anyone ever heard of this tour?I too am in interested in this tour, anyone out there done it?
Anyone ever heard of this tour?I%26#39;ve heard of the tour - never tried it. Did you try emailing them?
Have you considered the Chicago neighborhood tours?www.chicagoneighborhoodtours.com
Yes, Chicago Food Planet is reputable. FYI - it is a walking tour and meets at the Old Water Tower on Michigan Avenue, so it only explores the Near North neighborhoods.

The Chicago Greeter program has tours of Greektown, Chinatown, Rogers Park/Devon Ave, and other neighborhoods. And they%26#39;re free! They%26#39;re led by volunteers and it%26#39;s run by the city. You do need to register ahead of time.
