I am in the planning stage of a trip to Chicago. I wonder if anyone can give me some information. I was thinking of the Homeward Suites by Hilton. Is it a good location. Also we want to go to the Oprah show.

It%26#39;s in the River North area of downtown. It%26#39;s close to Michigan Ave. A great location from a tourist standpoint. Easy access to public transit from there. You can read reviews in the Chicago Hotels section of this web site.

The Homewood is a terrific all-suites hotel that has recently undergone a multi-million dollar update (new TVs, new furniture, new art in the room and more)

We stayed at Homewood Suites a couple of years ago and it was great for our family of four. Great location, nice accomodations, friendly staff, delicious breakfast buffet PLUS a good light dinner on Monday-Thursday (e.g. lasagna, salad and garlic bread). We didn%26#39;t have to go out for dinner those nights during our weeklong stay.

Also, at that time guests of Homewood Suites could work out for free at the gym located next door. It was an excellent gym and we enjoyed starting out our day this way (while our slug-like teens slept in. LOL)
