I used to live in the city (Uptown) and frequently hit the Latin places in Pilsen around 18th street, but I suppose the scene has changed somewhat. I hear that the Duranguense stuff is pretty popular (and I am not really a big fan of that).
Last time I was in Chicago I was working pretty hard and did not have a lot of time, but noticed that the few places on the near north are pretty pricey.
What are some good Mexican (or PR or DR or Cuban or Colombian) clubs in Chicago now? I love cumbias, but Reggaeton is OK, anything but nortena.
I am especially interested if you know of any places in Hyde Park (where I will be working), though I suspect it would be a pretty small place in that neighborhood.

You seem to be looking for people heavy into the club scene...this is the wrong place. I tend to give a good number of recommendations on nightlife, but when it comes to the latino scene all I can offer is RedNoFive and I doubt that%26#39;s what your looking for.
