Happy Hours in Bars?

Do many bars have happy hours?

If so what sort of times? Does it usually mean cocktails? Any recommendations? I am staying at Sofitel Water Tower any within walking distance?

In Illinois, bars cannot limit specials by time of day, so if they have a special it has to be a special from open to close. Many bars offer food specials during happy hour times and have drink specials on Sunday-Thurs (some bars even offer Friday and Saturday specials). Check metromix.com for more details. when you look at a bar go to the upcoming events section...or you can do a search of events by date to find a bar with a good special.
