Hi,
I am looking for an inexpensive / clean hotel around the Magnificent Mile for 9-13 - 9-18. We were there last year and stayed at the Cass which was fine but since the remodel has become expensive. If anyone has any suggestions of where to stay let me know.
Thanks in advance!
Does anyone have time to help me?How many in your party, what%26#39;s your max budget?
Does anyone have time to help me?There will be 2 adults. I think that our tris last year was less than $1,000.00 and were hoping to stay around there maybe.
Right now, it%26#39;s far enough in advance that hotels have not adjusted rates yet and rates are pretty expensive across the board. You will likely encounter some higher rates during the last day or two (17th and more likely 18th) though, due to a convention.
First idea (keep in mind a non-refundable one):
Go to:
starwoodhotels.com/promotions/…
Search for your dates.
The first option in the hotel list should be the Four Points Sheraton Downtown, which is just off Michigan Ave. (the Cass hotel you stayed in is about a block further West, to give you an idea of the location - pretty much the exact same area.)
Click on that and enter 2 people staying. You should see a 1 bed option for $146 a night ($731+tax) or a 2 doubles option for $168 and change ($843.75 + tax) Both of those rates are a special 25% off per night non-refundable deal.
If you want to spend a little more and can stay an extra night, go to:
starwoodhotels.com/promotions/…
Search for Chicago for Sept. 13-19, and you%26#39;ll again see the Four Points Downtown. Click on that, enter two adults and you%26#39;ll see a 1 bed option for a total of $780 + tax and a 2 bed option for $900 + tax total. This is a non-refundable stay 4 nights, get 2 free deal.
Otherwise, it%26#39;s a little difficult right now (may be easier closer to the dates) to find a deal for under $1,000 for 5 nights during this time period. I could find a refundable deal under $1000 right now, but it would require changing hotels and the hotels wouldn%26#39;t be *right* near each other. If you were interested in staying in different parts of the city (close to different things, different perspective) let me know and I%26#39;d be happy to point out the details of this option.
You may also want to consider bidding on Priceline for a 3* or 4* in either the Millennium Park/Loop/Grant Park area or the River North/North Michigan Ave. area. However, it%26#39;s tough to know whether or not Priceline will have inventory this far in advance. I also wouldn%26#39;t bid too high - start low (but not unreasonably so) and stay pretty low this far in advance.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for all of your help DVD!
We ended up booking at the Inn of Chicago Best Western hopefully it will be OK. It ended up costing more than what we wanted but, at least we%26#39;ll be in Chicago again.
