Has Anybody been to restaurant Cite recently?

Hello,

Husband and I are staying in Chicago for our 25th wedding anniversary on June 9. We are looking for a great restaurant with a fabulous view. We do not have an Everest or Tru-type palate. We though Cite would be just right. We%26#39;ve not heard good things about the Signature Room at the Hancock.

Does anybody have recent experience with Cite, or maybe another recommendation? We will be very dressed and want someplace romantic with excellent service.

Cathy

North Pond in Lincoln Park comes to mind - http://www.chicagoreader.com/cgi-bin/rrr/details.cgi?RestaurantName=north+pond%26amp;PriceCategory=%26amp;numb=160

Happy Anniversary!

Cathy, Happy Anniversary!

Yep, agree wholeheartedly with Dave. North Pond in Lincoln Park.

It doesn%26#39;t have the bird%26#39;s eye skyline view such as some others, but is indeed a lovely restaurant in a great setting. Try to sit by the fireplace if you can.

By the way, if you decide to go there, make sure you tell them when you make the reservations it%26#39;s your 25th.

I would go with Signature Room. It has a great location right on Michigan Ave., the views are the best anywhere, and last time I was there, the food was decent. It is relatively expensive, but you are paying for the views. It is also an area where it is easy to walk around before or after dinner.

Cite can be a pain to get into, since the roads that lead to it also lead to Navy Pier. At times, there is a lot of congestion around the building.

Thank you to all!

Cathy

No doubt about it....Flatwater (if the weather is nice and you can sit outside). Recommend making a reservation for the outside ahead of time. The views are unbelievable..you are surrounded by tall buildings, beautiful lights, and maybe a yacht or two will pull up. You are on river level here. Location is Clark Street and Wacker, north side of the river. Easy to miss...just look for the stairwell going downstairs...remember, its on river level. So much better than Hancock for dinner...go for just a drink or two tho.
