I%26#39;m coming as a tourist to Chicago in July. Saw the post about the Swissotel. Is this near area tronsportation or in a good area? I am flying in so will not have a car. Thanks

Chicago is quite compact and walkable (at least the main downtown area. The Swiss is right by the river and near Michigan Ave. Walk a couple of blocks to Michigan Ave. and then head South on Michigan Ave. and you%26#39;re right by the Art Institute and Millennium Park. Head North on Michigan Ave. a few blocks and you%26#39;re in the Michigan Ave. shopping location. Some people complain about the Swiss being too far from Michigan Ave. in the reviews for it, which I find fascinating, because it%26#39;s maybe 3-5 short blocks away.

So, long story short, perfectly good area.
