tranportation

I%26#39;m flying into O%26#39;Hare but rental cars are 500 bucks, much more there than in naperville, for example. I%26#39;m driving to central indiana. Any suggestions on where to rent a car and cheapest way to get there.

I don%26#39;t know chicago well at all. thanks

There are rental locations in the Chicago Loop. You could take CTA blue line downtown to rent if rates are better. Probably about a 45 minute ride, but you%26#39;ll be making forward progress towards Indiana. Be sure to check rental hours vs. your arrival time (and consider flight may be delayed).

I%26#39;d consider looking into bidding for a rental car via Priceline. I%26#39;m not sure what kind of car you%26#39;re trying tor or how many days, but many have gotten smaller cars from O%26#39;hare via Priceline for $20 a day or less. Keep in mind that Priceline reservations are not refundable and cannot be changed; it is a discount service. Keep in mind with priceline bidding for a car, you must return the car to where you picked it up.

Where in central Indiana are you going? Maybe there is public transportation available.

how long is the rental and are you dropping the car in Indiana? Drop rates generally are higher.

I would also try Hotwire to see if you can get a better rate. I%26#39;ve never used them at O%26#39;Hare but have been very happy with deals from Midway.
