We will be staying one night at the Days Inn Lincoln Park. I know there are a number of blocks in that area where there is a lot of good shopping. But I don%26#39;t remember which streets. Where are the good shopping areas south of West Addision, east of North Halstead, and north of North Avenue?
Thanks

It depends what type of shopping you want to do. If you want lots of the big national retailers, North Avenue and Sheffield (2 blocks west of Halsted) is a good starting place. If you%26#39;re looking for boutique-type shops, there%26#39;s a lot of those on Armitage Ave. between Racine and Halsted. There%26#39;s also a few boutiques along Clark Street north of Fullerton.

I guess more toward boutique than large chains. Clothing, bookstores, decorative things for the house, the types of places where you can spend a day just walking through the stores and browsing. I know the area you are talking about on North near Sheffield, and thats not what I%26#39;m looking for. I%26#39;ll check out Clark near Fullterton. I thought I remembered an area near Halstead and Diversey with a lot of stores and restaurants. But it has been a while and I might be thinking of someplace else.
Thanks.
I think Halsted and Webster down to Halsted and Armitage might be more what you%26#39;re looking for. All the really new trendy places are now on Damen, between North Ave and Fullerton. You could spend a day there.
There are a few stores right we%26#39;re you%26#39;re staying, but nothing exciting. If you walk south on Clark you%26#39;ll find some fairly eclectic shops too.
