Any suggestions for a Thursday night?

The bar the above poster is referring to is called the Metro...live bands. It is located in wrigleyville. Most of the places this poster refers to are a hike from downtown...including this one. Many of them also refer to places that dind%26#39;t really fit your criteria of a lounge.

If you%26#39;re trying to stay in the area of your hotel I%26#39;d recommend elm Street Liquors, Spybar, Sound-Bar, maybe Crobar, Enclave, Leg Room or Le Passage. Pretty much all of these places are within a long walk...Le Passage, Elm Street Liquors and the Leg Room are all right by the intersection of Rush and Division streets where many of the bars in Chicago are located...most of the clubs can be found in River North or River West. Thursday night is always a busy bar night...we call it college night...if you look on Metromix in the Upcoming events section for any bar, you%26#39;ll find the drink specials.

I would also probably recommend checking out Wicker Park...Walk up and down Damon, Milwaukee or North Avenues radiating from the Damen Blue line stop at their intersection. There are also a few places on Division at the Damen intersection. I don%26#39;t really know specifics anymore...but that would be very fitting for your age group. Wrigleyville will be too young for you. the Rush and Division area is full of a lot of tourists and suburbanites.

btw...any bar mentioned will be good on Thursday night...I%26#39;m not sure about the clubs, you may want to look for special promotions because where there are promotions, there will be people. I haven%26#39;t been one to hit the bottle very hard on Thursday nights. The intersection of Lincoln and Belmont will be busy with college students from Depaul and drink specials...might be too young for you though...
