';Reasonable'; Loop Hotel July 28-30th

We will be coming in the weekend before Lalapalooza and i was hoping that we would be able to book something in the loop, Grant, or Millenium Park area for just the two nights under 200.00. Would it be better to wait till last minute and book, or ahead of time? Last time we stayed just one night at the Congress Plaza, came in late and it was available, would like something at least a little bit umm...well maybe a bit ';better'; than that this time. Thanks for your help. Were just going to be doing the Museum, Boat tour, type of things so want to stay right around that area.

Do you mind a non-refundable reservation? Hotwire.com has a 4* in the North Michigan Ave/Water Tower/Gold Coast area for $109. Can%26#39;t guarantee what it is (Hotwire is a non-refundable discount service where you are told the name of the hotel after purchase and at that point, there%26#39;s no changing the reservation - however, the benefit is that you are getting a discount.), but it looks like either the Westin Michigan Ave, Ambassador East or Drake, any of which would be much, much better than the Congress.

Again, not sure if you wanted to take the risk and non-refundable reservation, but for $109, I thought it seemed like a terrific price - especially for that time of year.

Sorry, I had punched in the wrong dates - I was looking at 26th-28th.

Hotwire does have a 4* Mag Mile/Streeterville hotel for $156 for the 28th-30th with the amenities: Restaurant, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry, Spa. That would likely - although not guaranteed - be the James Hotel. If it is, that is off Michigan Ave., just a little bit North of the river.

I will check it right now. We will be in very late on Saturday night, maybe even Sunday 1:00 am-ish. I%26#39;m sure that once I book and find out the hotel, I can call directly and let them know we are a very late arrival. Sounds perfect for what we need. You help so many people, it%26#39;s awesome! I%26#39;m on it! Congress was ';interesting'; but it looks like we can do better than that with a bit of planning! Can%26#39;t wait, I LOVE CHICAGO! My favorite %26#39;city%26#39; and I want to show it off!
