Proposing in Chicago

I%26#39;m planning on proposing at the Buckingham Fountain and was wondering if there are any romantic restaurant%26#39;s within a short walking distance. If you know of any place i would greatly appreciate the info, thanks.

BTW - Congratulations!

I%26#39;ve known lots of people who have proposed downtown on the lake front than gone to the Signature Room in the Hancock building for a drink after. Could do dinner here, also. It has a spectacular view of the city. Pricey, but worthy of the special occasion. Definitely call ahead to get a reservation and hopefully get a good table (although, they%26#39;re all pretty good) on account of your special occasion.

If the weather was nice you could have a nice stroll there, up through Millennium Park and then up Michigan Ave across the river. You%26#39;d get a true Chicago experience. It%26#39;s a little over a mile. If the weather isn%26#39;t cooperating, it%26#39;s a very short cab ride.

Good luck!

Congratulations!

I wouldn%26#39;t necessarily call Park Grille romantic and personally, I think the food is overpriced and not very good.

I recommend Rhapsody (65 E. Adams). It is the best you are going to find in close proximity/ walking distance to the fountain-- it%26#39;s about 3 long blocks. You can check it out here: http://www.rhapsodychicago.com/

Best of Luck,

You should both be happy here; Chicagoans keep it to themselves, but since its a special occasion . . .
