Good ';value for money'; hotel

Me and my partner are visiting Chicago for 4 nights in September. We are looking for a nice hotel / hostel in a central location. We will not be spending a massive amount of time in the hotel so does not have to be luxurious. Just good value for money and friendly! Any recommendations??

You%26#39;ll have to be a bit more specific on your budget and dates, as ';value'; can mean different things to different people. Additionally, Chicago hotels can vary greatly in price from day-to-day.

Good ';value for money'; hotel

budget max = 拢100 per night but if we could get a good hostel then hopefully we could go quite far below this?

dates are the 4 nights up to 30 September / 1 October 2007 (whichever is the Sunday).

Hotel rates are running high due to:

Sep 25-27

The Motivation Show

McCormick Place South

Delegates: 20,000

Your budget = about $199 US

Hotwire is showing availability under $200 for your dates. It%26#39;s an opaque site that%26#39;s non-cancelable and non-changeable. It%26#39;s prepaid. You find out the name of your hotel after you%26#39;ve paid for it online.

I just dropped a bundle at the Silversmith but the manager said they welcome Priceline guests; you could save $$$ with a Priceline booking if you could get that particular hotel. Silversmith is on 10 S Wabash..easy walk to Millenium Pk, art gallery, shopping, theater district. The L stop is right in front of hotel so get Visitor CTA pass at airport for $5/person/day for unlimited public transportation; that%26#39;s THE best deal in Chicago. Also, for free chicago tours get in touch with the Chicago Greeters...volunteers who will take you on a tour of any neighborhood you want; they need a full week%26#39;s notice for booking a tour with them. Good Luck!

Again, you can%26#39;t guarantee what hotel you get on Priceline - lets be sure to mention that, as Priceline is often recommended here without a discussion of the details of the service.

Thanks for help so far guys. i will have a look into your suggestions.
