Hotel with Easy Access to Subway

I am looking for an affordable hotel that is walking distance to the subway (as I won%26#39;t have a car). I don%26#39;t want to pay more that $105/night. I am having a tough time finding something - I can%26#39;t believe how expensive Chicago is!

I am willing to stay in the suburbs and would be staying the 2nd to 3rd week of June.

Any good ideas?

Unfortunately, a max budget of $105 for a Chicago hotel in the Summer means that you will likely have to accept something away from the subway - although it%26#39;s not a particularly long to a subway station from any hotel.

It%26#39;s impossible to make any specific recommendations without knowing exact dates, but I would strongly recommend considering bidding for a 4* or 3* in either of the two main areas of downtown Chicago (the River North/North Michigan Ave. area or the Millennium Park/Loop/Grant Park area) on Priceline. If you%26#39;ve never used Priceline, it%26#39;s a non-refundable discount service where you bid on hotels - if a hotel at the star rating you bid for in the zone you bid for accepts your bid, you%26#39;re locked in there at a non-refundable rate.

You may also want to look at Hotwire, another similar non-refundable service.

June is especially difficult this year, so it%26#39;s good that your dates appear to be flexible.

Any questions, please ask.

You shouldn%26#39;t have any problems finding something under $100 in the burbs, but it may not be close to public transit.

great! thanks for the quick suggestions - i try priceline or hotwire and see how i do...

Check out hotels in Skokie, Il. There%26#39;s a recently renovated Doubletree that people have scored on Priceline for under $100. Also price out the Hampton Inn and Howard Johnson in Skokie. Easy access to downtown via a CTA bus and train.

Not sure how much they would cost, but there are many hotels off of the Rosemont stop on Blue Line El / Train line. I might also suggest seeing if Oak Park has some hotel rooms to fit your budget as the blue and green lines run to Oak Park.
