Just back - LOVE Chicago!

We just had a quick girls get-away, wish we could%26#39;ve stayed longer. Stayed at the Hotel Allegro. Worked very nicely for us.

Day 1 - Spent time at the Cultural Center (happened upon the Chicago Chamber Orchestra warming up - fabulous!), went to see Wicked (wonderful), enjoyed a complimentary wine hour at the hotel, then had dinner at The Italian Village (great food!).

Day 2 - Breakfast at Lou Mitchells (wonderful french toast), then went to the Art Institute. Wow - such beautiful Monet%26#39;s, Van Goghs, and Cezzane exhibit. Then off to Navy Pier (kinda quiet - it was Monday) to see the stained glass. Back to the hotel for another free wine hour then dinner at a restaurant I can%26#39;t remember the name of. Great latino food - more of a bar actually.

Day 3 - Millenium Park with our Greeter from Chicago Greeters (EVERYONE should use this service!) and then went to Garfield Park and saw ';Niki in the Park.'; Interesting sculptures, beautiful gardens. Then took the El to Chinatown. A bit dissapointing here, not too much to see, but we didn%26#39;t really have much time so maybe we missed some things. Won Kow Restaurant was good for lunch though there wasn%26#39;t much ambiance and the servers seemed bored and unhelpful. Generous portions though.

We%26#39;ll be back - we still want to do the chocolate tour! Thanks so much for your help on this forum...
