Train question

What is the most efficient way to get from Lake Bluff to the Fairmont Hotel downtown?

Train question

Metra train from Lake Bluff to downtown - http://metrarail.com/Sched/cnw_n/cnwn.shtml

Once you get downtown - at the corner of Madison %26amp; Canal St - catch a CTA #124 Navy Pier Express eastbound. Get off at Columbus between South Water %26amp; Waacker. You%26#39;ll be within a block of the Fairmont.

Train question

From Lake Bluff to downtown, the most efficient way is taking the Metra Union Pacific North Line. ';Lake Bluff'; is one of the stops on that route, and the ride from Lake Bluff will be approximately 1 hour. The last stop on that route towards downtown is Ogilvie Transportation Center. From there to the Fairmont, a quick cab ride would only be between $5-$10.

Take a metra train from Lake Bluff to Chicago (Oglivie station), take a cab from there to the Fairmont

Looks like we were all posting at the same time :-) Unless you%26#39;re on a tight budget, take a cab, $5-7 is a good estimate of the fare.

Thanks so much, everyone, this is a big help!
