Hi - I need a hotel recommendation for 3 or 4 nights when I come to Chicago to visit the U of Chicago-Divinity school. I don%26#39;t have a ton of money so something reasonably priced, clean, safe and with easy access around the area. Thanks!

Is this the school and location?
Visiting U of Chicago
Do you want to stay in Hyde Park (U of C area) or downtown? In the Hyde park area there%26#39;s a Ramada Inn Lake Shore.
The address given above is the correct address.
The Ramada Inn Lake Shore has some horrible reviews on Trip Advisor - is there anything else nearby? I would like to stay close to the University but if that%26#39;s not possible as long as transportation is convenient (I don%26#39;t know the city) I could manage.
Not much in the Hyde Park area.
There%26#39;s a CTA express bus from downtown to/from U of C area. Also Metra run a train from downtown to the Hyde Park area. Visitwww.transitchicago.com and www.metrarail.com for details.
You might want to consider Hotwire and/or Priceline to bid on a hotel.
There%26#39;s a hostel serving the U of C neighborhood that might meet your needs:
International House of Chicago
1414 East 59th Street, Chicago, USA
(773) 753-2270
Did anyone try this UoC International house? I would like to find out whether it is safe to commute from here to downtown? Can I get taxis from this hostel?

Go to the visitor%26#39;s page on the U of C website and you will see your transportation options. There is a train with stops under Grant Park (Michigan Avenue) and bus service to State Street and Union Station downtown.
