';Top 7'; can be different things to different people. Everyone has different interests. If you give us your specific interests, we%26#39;ll be more than happy to offer suggestions. Please take a look at the introduction to Chicago section on this web site.

Also take a look at metromix.com for ideas. You can enter the dates of your visit to see what%26#39;s going on here during that time.

Yes, you can get a multi-day transit pass for the CTA. It%26#39;s called a CTA visitor pass. Visit transitchicago.com for details. It covers all CTA trains and buses. Assuming that you%26#39;re flying in to Chicago, you get get then at the O%26#39;hare CTA station.

TOP 7 things to be done in Chicago ?

I think any visit to Chicago would be incomplete without an architectural tour. We enjoyed the Architectrual Foundation river cruise that travels the Chicago River. Our guide was a veritable fountain of information. Many years ago, I took a similar cruise, albeit a more irreverant one. The city has changed since then and the more recent cruise was fresh and new.

The architecture of Chicago defines the city. Having it interpreted for you is a must.

Also if you are an art lover, I suggest the Art Institute. I%26#39;ve been in many fine museums and galleries in North America, Europe, and the Middle East. The Art Institute is one of the most user friendly.

The Shedd Aquarium is pretty impressive, too.

There are no casinos in chicago.

I never heard the name ';paradice casino'; before. But googling it, it looks like it is in East Peoria. Which is way down state. (far away)

There are casinos accross the border in Indiana. Such as:

Trump Casino

219-977-7000 • 6012 Industrial Hwy, Gary,IN

Majestic Star Casino

219-977-7777 • Buffington Station, Gary,IN

Harrah%26#39;s East Chicago Casino

219-378-3000 • 777 Harrahs Blvd, East Chicago,IN

Horseshoe Casino

219-473-7000 • 777 Casino Center Dr., Hammond,IN

Many have buses from chicago.

Google the casinos. and they might have schedules on their web sites. Or you can call them and get information.

thanks for the insight...will check out the information

In nh gambling is in connecticut, about 2 hours to the indian reservations....any idea how far these places are?

From downtown Chicago, the closest casino is the one in Hammond, IN, about 30 minutes in good traffic, double that in bad traffic. There are shuttles that leave from Chinatown which you can reach from Chicago via red line el.

%26lt;%26lt;any idea how far these places are?%26gt;%26gt;

Hammond and Gary IN are about 25 to 30 miles from chicago.

But the Skyway (highway to Indiana) is some of the worst traffic around. Not sure if its under construction now. It always seems to have construction. I would guess an hour. give or take. depending on the time of day. (you cannot get anywhere in chicago under an hour)
