We are spending a week in chicago and then heading off to vist relatives over thanksgiving. We return to chichago on 24 November for 3 days and wonder are there other places of interest nearby chicago city that would be worth a visit

We wpnt have a carr and half day or all day trip would be fine.

Take a Metra train from downtown along the north shore area. Evanston comes to mind. It%26#39;s home to Northwestern University. http://metrarail.com/Sched/cnw_n/cnwn.shtml

The Davis St stop would be best.
